Fall Camping

We managed to finally squeeze in a camping trip this fall.  It was nothing too crazy, just one night in Martinak State Park along the Choptank River.    It was rough going a few times, but the kids hung in there and we were glad we did it.

We bundled Tamsin up in her bear suit when it started getting cool.

Carter on the other hand was "too hot" and started stripping down while we cooked dinner.

Shortly after this, Carter asked to go to bed.  That was a new one.  Gotta love the fresh air.

It was chilly the next morning, thank goodness for hot cocoa and oatmeal!

Carter's Birthday Week

It's been a busy couple weeks.

We had a great visit with the Thomas' - Papi's lap was in constant use.

Carter got a new scooter for his birthday, and although it needed no assembly, he went ahead and tightened everything up, just to be sure.

We had a party with a bunch of his friends down at the playground.  Despite the rainy weather, the kids all seemed to have a good time playing on the playground and in the sand.  Believe it or not, this is about the only picture from the whole time.

When the rains came back we had a little after party at our house, where a few more cupcakes were consumed,

 and some stories were read.

Carter had a great time, and we survived.  In all, we'll call it a win!
