Early Wednesday morning, at 02:16, we got to meet our new baby girl: Tamsin Maria Thomas. She's a little peanut at 5lbs and 12 oz and 18.5 inches, but she's eating well and we expect she'll fill out quickly.
Mimi's water broke in the morning on Tuesday and she went to the hospital. I came from work and joined her there, but the contractions weren't really coming and we were a little discouraged. We tried to get some sleep starting around 9pm and by 10:30 Mimi was in labor for real. After that things are kind of a blur... and then they handed us a beautiful baby girl.
Luckily, Mitzi is here and took Carter so we were able to focus on our new arrival. Our stay in the hospital was a little rough as Tamsin got used to life on the "outside". At 35 weeks, she is a little premature, but she's a trooper and after a some careful monitoring and a whole lot of nursing, she's doing great.

Carter is taking pretty well to his new little sister - he even shared some of his favorite cars with her tonight. He's interested in the baby and lets us know when she's crying or sleeping. Thanks little buddy.
Stay tuned for more pictures and updates. Anybody got a catchy new name for the blog?
