Something fun...

OK, so I struggled with posting this video because it's sort of bad - the camera (my phone) loses his face a few times because I forget to keep looking at my video screen.  But I REALLY wanted to post a video of his laugh.  That said, Brian and I think it's super cute since he goes through so many emotions: happy, then silly, then sort of bummed, then kinda sick, then at the last frame - downright disgusted...

I was gone all day today for a pharmacist thing, but Brian and Carter were busy at home trying some new things:

Sweet potatoes!

It went pretty well, but Carter kept making faces when he had a mouthful - we couldn't tell if he didn't like the flavor or if he just didn't know what to do with it once he had it in there.   We're either holding him up or trying to feed him in the Bumbo seat.  He is definitely holding his head up well and he sits when supported, but he doesn't sit by himself yet.  He HAS started kicking his legs up in the air and sometimes rolling onto his side from his back.  That's about as far as he goes, though - and his tolerance for tummy time is increasing thanks to Papa's persistence. He'll laugh fairly consistently and he is really trying to follow the conversation around the room.  He's wearing 6-9 month clothes these days, too.  Big guy!

First Sunday of Spring

Carter enjoyed this weekend's arrival of spring from the seat of his stroller.  It started with Saturday when he came along for a nice long family run and managed to sleep almost the entire way.  On Sunday we got together with friends for a walk around the piers of Baltimore's inner harbor.

The Gang: (Matt, Karen, me, Petra, and Pontus - with Saga and Carter in front)

I got a little carried away with the purported off-road capabilities of Carter's sweet ride.

The late afternoon pick-me-up stop.  Carter prefers lattes (hold the espresso).

Suiting up Saga...

Can't get enough of those cheeks!

5 Months Today!

Happy Five Month Birthday Carter

Carter is unfortunately celebrating his big 5 month milestone with a bit of a cold and a little fever.  Nothing to be concerned about, but we decided to do some reading up on the topic...

We have also been dabbling a bit with solid foods recently.  (If you can call rice cereal in milk solid...)   I think you can see that I was more excited about it than he was.

Finally, Carter had a terrific time cuddling with Aunt Jenn during her sleepover last weekend.

Papi Noises

Just had to post this...
